A Sunday afternoon cruise to take pictures of the cows for our catalog this spring turned into a reminder of just how special this business is.

We can get so caught up in the excitement of the new genetics showing up in our calves that sometimes we forget to step back and appreciate the factory that makes it all possible.

The cows are the foundation of every operation, and what makes this breed so great. Happy Sunday everyone!

Our American Freedom bulls have been catching some attention, so we figured we’d show off a few shots of their sisters, too!
These calves just keep getting better every day, and he sure puts a ton of natural thickness, depth, and dimension into them. We’re loving the way these females are developing!

Pictured is our 255 Syringa cow with her American Freedom bull calf. If you've followed our program, you might remember 255 produced Lot 3 in our sale last year —and it looks like she's on track to outdo herself once again with this outstanding young bull.

We’re about 45 days away from weaning our bull calves, and we thought it would be fun to have a "Guess the Weaning Weight" contest!

The person with the closest guess will win a $250 sale credit to use at our annual sale next spring.

As promised we get a bit camera happy this time of year…
When driving out we caught some cows taking a dip after a very warm Southeastern Colorado day, with some of our bull pairs in the background.

First heifer is a Special Agent calf out of our Lacey cow line. We have Special Agent cows in production and can promise you, as long as we have semen in the tank you will see his calves in our pastures!

Second calf is an Eastwood heifer out of our Yocia cow line. (Erica’s cow, the rest are all Kolby’s 😉)

Good cows produce even better calves! Here is our H137 Lakota cow and her bull calf out of our American Freedom herd sire. Seemed fitting to show case American Freedom to celebrate Independence Day!
