Beef and broccoli with Stew Meat.
Simple, yummy, and cheap dinner.
Recipe:
1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the 1 1/2 pounds of beef stew meat in a single layer and sear for 4–5 minutes, turning to brown on all sides. Remove the beef and set aside.
2.Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Stir in the 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
3.Pour in 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce, 1 cup beef broth, and 2 tablespoons brown sugar. Stir well and return the browned beef to the pan. Bring to a gentle simmer.
4.Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 20–25 minutes until the beef is tender.
5. Add the 4 cups of broccoli florets to the skillet. Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and just tender.
6. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water to create a slurry. Stir it into the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Drizzle in 1 teaspoon sesame oil and stir to combine.
Serve hot over rice or noodles.
