This is ny son Tyler. He had a craniotomy 2 days ago. My sister started this fundraiser to help us shoulder the cost of commuting to & from the hospital everyday. Tyler gets anxious if we aren’t there so we’ve been coming daily since he collapsed.

To all my friends at the farmers market I have bad news . I won’t be able to attend the Newark Market this coming fall due to the Delta Variant . My wife and I are hoping next season covid risk will be much lower .Julie is on dialysis now and we must take extra precautions. Thank you for understanding.
I have hopes for next year and I wanted you to know just how much I miss you and appreciate your being my customers and friends for over a decade.
I think the Newark market started in 2007 and many of you were customers of mine at the downtown Fremont market in the 1990s through 2006.
Great memories .Always smile when I reflect on the markets because they never failed to be epic because of all hustle and bustle of moving 3 thousands pounds of fruit through your bags. Lol it took almost an hour to pack up all the empty persimmon and pomegranate boxes. Again great memories. Looking forward to 2022 and seeing you again.

Diospyrus Lotus is a popular rootstock for Hachiya and Fuyu persimmons. It is a beautiful tree in its own right and very tasty in January . My goal is to get my nursery license and start selling rootstock and grafted persimmons trees to the public .My goal is to be back in the fall markets by 2021. I sure miss everyone at the markets.
