We took a much needed break this past week and went back to our old stomping grounds in DFW! If you’re a business owner, you know how few and far between the breaks can be, so it was great to step away for a minute!
We got to check out Hurtado’s new concept LOMA TXMX for dinner which was fantastic! We’ve been Hurtado Barbecue fans since its early days of just pop-ups, so we were super excited to try his new concept and it did not disappoint!! Local friends, go check them out at the ball park! After stuffing ourselves with almost their entire menu 😂 we visited an old local favorite Piccolo Mondo Italian Restaurant for music and dessert (we found room for it). This place hasn’t changed a bit and we’re so happy about that! From brand new concepts to old school staples, we’re so inspired by these places! It’s hard to step out and take a risk on a new concept and it’s also hard to keep a really good thing going, for over 40 years!!! We’re still in our early “pop-up” days but we aspire to one day be like these greats, bringing fresh flavors and ideas while still maintaining the classic favorites you’ve come to love us for! We’re back to the BBQ grind this week and we’ll be announcing our next pop-up event very soon!!
(We didn’t get too many photos as we were enjoying the moment and are not “influencers” 😂)
