You all asked about the pants. I got them at a thrift store. I don’t even know what they’re called.
These are the kind of comfy that they can literally have any print and be ugly as sin and still be a favorite.

They’re so pretty. 😍

There’s so many of you that are frustrated that your families didn’t pass down skills or recipes.

Turns out the most we got passed down, was anxiety, depression, and if we’re lucky a China cabinet full of porcelain figurines.

Rather than being upset about not having a skill or a recipe or generational knowledge it’s
Ok to learn. Instruction for everything is written down- most of that has been translated into YouTube or TikTok.

I had several pounds of frozen strawberries in the freezer from last year.
We are almost out of syrup for pancakes.
I use the 1:1 ratio for syrup and jam. The processing time is what differs.
1 pound fruit to 1 pound white sugar and some lemon juice.
Cook to desired thickness then water bath for 15 minutes.
I live above 4,500 feet and add time to adjust for altitude in my canning times.
I totally hit the record button more than once and it gave an amazing clip of my nose, rather than prep and cook of the berries. Sorry about that.
That’s cool.
Watch these lids pop.
Favorite summer sound!!!

I read about WWII Victory Gardens when I was little and was always fascinated by how we fed the nation.
Fast forward to 2026, and victory gardens aren't about war or patriotism anymore. They’re about self-reliance—the ultimate insurance policy against food shortages and skyrocketing grocery prices.
Want to insulate your family from the grocery store? Start seeds.

It may have frozen at night last week but summer is creeping into the garden as spring fades.
This will be the last fresh cup of chamomile tea for the year. Later today I will be picking and drying the flowers for tea.

It’s finally here!
My two week window of garlic scape season!
These are such a treat!
I usually make one dinner a year of garlic scape pasta with sautéed scapes in a fine butter wine sauce. It’s delicious. The rest of my scapes go to the dehydrator and then get turned to powder for seasoning for the year.

I can’t believe how many plant buying enablers found me on the internets!

I mean plant friends.

And good influences at that!

Friends who would NEVER 🫢😉 encourage a trip to the nursery via the thrift store with iced coffees!

I’m so glad you’re all here!

Welp, it got me. The freezing nights two in a row deleted the summer squash.
Everyone else is frost nipped but will recover
