Hello guys! My name is Alex Lumbreras. Being born and raised in Klamath Falls, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset. After turning 21 and going out with friends, I realized how few local alcoholic beverage options existed—especially ciders, which I’ve always liked. That sparked an idea. My friend Jake and I started homebrewing, and it quickly became a passion. I wanted to create something that felt truly local, so I began exploring what made Klamath Falls unique. That’s when I found AFA, a blue-green algae with amazing health benefits. I developed a method to infuse it into cider, giving it a rich blue color and added nutritional value. The color reminded me of Crater Lake, and from that, Crater Cider Company was born—a bold, local drink with a story.
