Here at Knox Poultry we are total animal lovers and nerds. We are always looking to learn and explore. With that being said we wanted to start a small series of sharing some egg and chicken facts with you all, but first I thought it would be proper to introduce you to who we are!

Hi from the faces behind Knox Poultry! 👋
We’re a husband-and-wife team married for 14 years, both proud alumni of Penn State University with degrees in animal science (yes… we’re total animal nerds 🐄🐓).
Tony was raised around dairy cattle, while I grew up bringing home just about any animal I could love and care for—so raising animals has always been second nature to us.
I also hold a master’s degree in Homeland Security with a focus on agricultural biosecurity and food defense, which means I’ve spent years studying food safety, disease prevention, and how to protect our food system from harmful bacteria, viruses, and contamination.
That knowledge shapes everything we do here. We believe food should be clean, natural, and raised the way it was meant to be—without unnecessary chemicals, pesticides, or shortcuts. Just healthy animals, fresh air, and honest farming. 🌿
We’re raising three amazing kids who are actively involved in 4-H, Cub Scouts, and daily farm life right alongside us. Our homestead is full of life—cats, dogs, chickens, pigs, bunnies, goats, and our donkey—and every one of them plays a part in our journey.
