1st tulip of the season!

Also, over in my stories I am answering questions about wine. I used to be a winemaker (small time) and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Many people are so daunted by the 'who, what, where' and I figure I could help clarify some of that.

Shout out to for giving me the push I needed. I just want everyone to enjoy booze and flowers!

Fingers crossed for some fresh local tulips for Valentine's day!

I don't sell any directly to customers for the big day but I know some florists who do. So hit them up for all your needs!

You could also gift your partner with one of my seasonal spring, summer or fall subscriptions!

Support local whenever you can!

I had a lot of exclamation marks in this post...whew.

I've tried for 3 years to germinate Lunaira seeds with no luck. This year, I stuck them in my soil blocks and left them out in the chilly weather we got this week. I guess they really like the cold.

Well, we got some snow. With a little bit more to come.

Greenhouse is staying nice and cozy.

My cooler, however, got too cold around 430 am. I had to bundle up and run out to save the dahlia tubers. If they freeze, they're dead, and that would be a huge blow to my farm.

Stay home, stay warm and stay safe out there my fellow mid-southerners!

It's a field of caterpillar...tunnels!

The kid tested positive for the flu today, so I did all I could to get prepared before the cold hits next week. With my luck, I'll be hit with it by the end of the week and won't be able to tackle it.

Perennial bed expansion is getting ready.

A lot of prep happens now for summer flowers. Fingers crossed mother nature cooperates and we have a normal spring to kick it all off.

was doing a fundraiser for Dr.s without borders, and part of it was to giveaway books, her prints, and more to people who donated. I don't think I 'won' any from the raffle, but I was inspired to buy some of the books she was giving away.

I love flowers, I love books, and I believe that even though I may know something, maybe there is more I don't know. Or even another, better way to do something.

Keep learning, folks. There is a wealth of knowledge out there.

I had a vision on how I wanted to tackle hydro tulips this year and improve from 2022. I told my SO Dave and basically said 'I got you.' This is more elaborate then I had plan and I'm not complaining. Let's hope I have tulips until June this year.

My willow cuttings are looking awesome. I bought these to naturalize an area on the farm that gets a lot of water. But they're also great for weaving baskets and making wreath, so win win.

Don't forget we have flower subscriptions available if you're still looking for that special gift for your loved ones.

My uncle passed away when I was 8.

I remember his gardens at his house.

I still have the teddy bear he gave me for Christmas one year.

I also remember going to the hospital to visit him and seeing the sign outside his room telling people not to get too close, no kissing, no hugging, and to wear protective gear.
