Dear Customers

I know some of you have wondered where we went. We had two things impact us very hard and suddenly.
(1) The drop in orders due to economical instability
(2) Personal matters of my own. Now as for my personal matter it is nothing bad, all good in fact but I am covered up with a lot of paperwork as a result.

So let's address order decline. We totally understand that the current economic stress causes us all concern. Our software provider tagged on that extra $2.00 per order which we did not like at all. We had already set prices to our rock bottom point in order to save you money but their move put us right back up there with Doordash (slightly under in some cases, over on others)

Now I want to say we may not be gone forever. As many of you know I am a web designer and I also code apps. We are currently looking into a “Courier Service” which will encompass food delivery as well as “Item or Package Delivery” however this must first be built. (Currently in progress). I can not say for certain that this will become a reality but we are looking into it and testing systems. One thing for certain is that there will be no third parties that can impose additional fees.

We are also looking at the possibility of helping each locally owned restaurant set up delivery services directly for them (For those that choose to go this route).

Going the route of “Self owned and hosted software will eliminate a lot of fees and allow us to offer the same low prices without our company going negative. I have always said we were in it to make a living, not to get rich. I want to take the time to thank every person who has ordered from us in the past and hope you will choose us again should we come back.

Now as for myself, I am personally retired now however should we re-launch it will continue to be operated by my son who is a very business minded young man. He shares dads vision and I think everyone will love him very much. Again I am not certain which direction this may go however you can rest assured we will announce it here when we decide. One again we thank you.

Locally Owned Restaurants Only

Your local delivery service is at risk of closing. Order volumes are down and our economy has a lot to do with that, we totally understand. The issue we face is that with such low order volume, we can not sustain the business.

We had to close over the weekend due to not having enough volume to keep drivers busy. So we ask you for your help. Please share our post and page with friends, family and co-workers.

Our service is friendly, fast and our drivers are amazing and we come with customer support you simply will not get with Doordash.
We will be trying for another few weeks but we just wanted everyone to know that we may reach a point that we have no choice but to close.

For now we will be focusing on locally owned restaurants. You can not find these on Doordash. Lets make this work, We know we can.

We have created a simple easy to use Progressive Web App by Jotform. You can
(1) Add this to your home screen (just like an app)
(2) Install it as an app.

Both methods work. If you encounter issues with adding it to your home screen or installing please reach out to us. If we can keep things moving forward as intended, we will convert this later into an android and ios app on the app stores.

This option will eliminate you have to type in the address every time and make it a simple click, open and order.

It’s with a heavy heart that I share this news today—our journey with this business may be coming to an end. The reality is that order volume has dropped too low for us to sustain operations. With so many people choosing larger platforms like DoorDash, we simply can’t compete at these levels.

We know times are tough, and every dollar counts. That’s why we’ve done everything possible to keep our costs as low as we could while still providing the level of service we’re known for—real customer support, live order dispatching, and dedicated drivers. Unfortunately, even at our lowest rates, the numbers just don’t work out.

We have not given up just yet, we are making a few last hard push efforts however just be aware we may be reaching a point where we have to make this choice.

You can help us, if you will be so kind. Post on your social media to let everyone know, we are at risk of loosing our local delivery service. That we need the support of our community. Perhaps we can raise more awareness and save My Grub Runner.

We have reduced all locally owned restaurant prices to in-house menu price. Edit. Brand name restaurants are still being worked on.
We are going to run our discounts on occasion through the week.

We are getting lots of new registrations but fewer orders. So we wonder have we missd a setting? Has something changed that customers dislike? Are you having trouble placing orders?

Your feedback is critical to making sure we offer the best possible service. Today we are releasing an app for Beta testing so some of you will get a link to test it out.

We may be releasing a very simple easy to use app for our service. It is in test phase right now. This app comes from Jotform, a trusted source in business forms and apps. The nice thing is it is a simple click and go app which makes it much easier for the tech challeged to install. More info coming soon.
