First-time mom Lyla had a big natural ewe lamb on Wednesday right before church (why there are no good pictures🫣😆), and yesterday her mom, Lilac, had 2 healthy ram lambs.

Lambing at our place started yesterday on President's Day, so say hello to Reagan (little ewe lamb of Blossom). Sadly, her twin sister did not survive.

People often express concern for the animals during these blasts of cold weather. As long as they have a dry place to retreat, a wind break, plenty of hay/feed and water that isn't frozen, and good body condition, the sheep handle the cold just fine. Many times they even choose to stay out in the field during rain/light snow.

**However, we typically try not to lamb during the coldest part of winter because it is a little harder on lambs.😉
