For this piece art, I punched all the white from one side of the frame and then flipped the frame over to punch needle the colored rays and sun. When you look at it, it gives the feeling of the sun popping out some.
Measures about 22” x 36” and framed in dark wood.

For this piece of art, I pulled in some pink mohair wool for a lighter texture. It also coordinated well with the grey/pink variegated yarn I wanted to use. I also threaded some white yarn strands to add another layer over the grey.

I named this one Sunset Delight because it reminds me of the thousands of sunsets we’ve seen since living in Southern California. Just when we think we’ve seen the best version that night, the colors change again.

The blue variegated yarn I used makes me think of the way the sky changes colors and the stars begin to pop out.

From a distance, this piece of art looks more muted but as you get closer, you see the texture and it comes alive. I used a few different sources of wool yarn and some decorative yarn as well. It measures about 17” x 17” and is framed in a dark wood.

This piece of art is about 15.5” x 15.5” and it’s another one that people stop to look at. It was a fun one to make because in addition to using wool yarn, I incorporated t-shirts that were cut into strips. I love using t-shirts because I can get a really bright white when my art is calling for that. I will say that it’s one of the hardest fibers to push through the foundation fabric. But if it’s the best choice, I’ll use it:)

This 16” x 16” piece has the varying fiber lengths like most of my art but I also included threading yarn through the foundation fabric. I’m finding that besides loving the shades of yarn I use, I also love creating texture and movement in my pieces. Framed in dark wood.
