KC’s had all sorts of peas and butter beans today. Now’s the time to load up. Hot weather slows down our supply chance. They had speckled butter beans which are difficult to find and oh so good. There were Cranberry beans which I am unfamiliar with. Think the name comes from the cranberry color. If you’ve had Cranberry beans,

Now this is a Cold Plate! If I had to guess, I would say this name is strictly Southern. I love to make dinner like this when it’s hot and I don’t want to cook. This was Kimberlynne’s dinner recently when she was on nights. Chicken Salad with macaroni and pasta salad and green salad with fresh pineapple, cantaloupe and watermelon

Cookouts are a must these beautiful days. Will does the grilling and we do the rest. These potatoes were a hit. Came from a recipe on Pinterest. Called Best Grilled Potatoes.Kimb pre boiled them, poured a marinade over them then placed on grill to crisp. Excellent results.

Wanted a quick lunch so ended up with 2 chili dog cheese pups from Krystals. Total lunch cost was $4.71.
They are the cutest little miniatures. Dogs are almost 4inches with their own little bun. Came home, warmed in the microwave, ate from my pretty paper plate and thoroughly enjoyed my treat from the past. It was surprisingly good, a tiny bit spicy.

KC’s has the most beautiful cabbage. It’s locally grown and so fresh looking. Not the season you expect to see cabbage. It’s more of a Fall vegetable at my house. My Mama always said the darker leaves had the best taste so these should be perfect.
