When my husband decided to go grain free & sugar free a few years ago (and lost 25 pounds to boot), I tried to be a supportive wife and do it with him. But y'all, as a woman who was born and raised in Norway where bread is served at just about every meal, I can not go without bread in my life!! My kitchen is my domain, and I set out to try to make a semblance of a bre

ad using only non-grain and no sugar ingredients. After many failed attempts and several tweaks, the end result turned out pretty good, and I’m proud to introduce Bergen Flatbread to our local community! Initially my family and I ate Bergen Flatbread for breakfast and lunch, pairing it with ingredients like peanut butter, eggs, veggies and avocado, but eventually we started broiling a few slices with olive oil & sea salt and cut them up to use as a substitute for crackers on my charcuterie boards. Feel free to use your slices of Bergen Flatbread in creative ways that suits your palate. I hope you will enjoy Bergen Flatbread as much as we do in my household! Reminder... these are grain free, gluten free, sugar free and Paleo friendly. One of the main ingredients is arrowroot which is a natural product that contains carbohydrates - so for the strict carb counters out there, these have about 16 gr of carbs per slice.
