This post is probably gonna make our landlady start balling, but it’s gotta be said.

Running a business is hard. Running a storefront is even harder.

This little “chosen family” of people is seriously make it so much better. They are THE. BEST. Because most of them have known each other since high school (people do that?!) so it’s a big deal to be brought into the coolest kid club ever as if we were always there.

To have the support, love, laughter, and camaraderie of these stellar people on a daily basis as we all grind away at the whole “business ownership” thing is just… remarkable.

We are also really good at taking photos, can’t ya tell?

There are great things coming from all of us here at Victory Village and couldn’t be happier to do it with these goofs.

How can we get people from the coffee shop to spill on over to our shop, pull up the stools to the bar and hang out?

Tomorrow is officially a soup weather day!
Can we get a 🙌🏽 for the rain?!

Which means no bee work for us and a day inside. But we got things covered. Stop on in to grab some goodies for a date night in. Soup from and some of their delicious bake mixes. Grab some healthy soda alternatives from our friends and top off the night with snacks and captivating riddles and puzzle from (Blackbrim is our current personal favorite!)

We are made for slower living and healthier eating. So we made a store all about it.

When we aren’t at The Merc, we are probably playing with bees.

Just about every two years, we get a call to do a cut out rescue from a tree after an arborist buddy has been asked to remove the tree from a client’s yard. They are always fun to do and is just a random grab bag event that you have no idea what you’re getting into until you show up.

Some cut outs are very easy, clean quick in and out, and others are a messy. The bees are nasty and you get covered in sawdust and honey and you’re there all day.

Thankfully, this rescue was very straightforward. We found the queen within about 10 minutes of opening up the cavity and the bees were extremely gentle. We were in and out in about two hours.
