I highly recommend reading before this verse for it to take hold. Paul explicitly states the danger of doing something good without Christ name attached. This is something even before I saw this clip that I’ll post later that Christ name is to be magnified through praise and your good works. Just because the work is good does not mean it is glorifying.

Jesus throughout the gospels and here in the book of Luke throws haymakers at a glass house. The glasshouse being you and me, see as followers of Christ Jesus we have a standard that we all fall short on. How can we hold those around us to a standard we cannot hold ourselves. Now does that mean we allow others to stumble and not face consequences no, but it does mean we must face the chin music when we ourselves fall short of the glory of God!

How many of you knew that this as well as others Old Testament prophecy speak about our savior Christ Jesus coming. It’s a beautiful thing! One thing I will say and encourage each of you is to read the Old Testament because the New Testament will make a lot more sense. Feed your desire to know our Maker and his creation.
