My daughter and her grandmother carrying on. She’s tickling her granny and calling the tickles licks. Now if you grew up Trini, you already know licks meant a whole different thing! It's a talking cut ass🤣

After the week we’ve had, I needed this laugh. Had to share a little moment with you. 💜

I want to say thank you. The calls, hugs, check-ins, donations, and kind words have carried me through a hard week. I felt the love, and I’m grateful.

I got my van back, and the repairs are done. I’ve made it over that hurdle; that chapter is now closed.

I’ll be outside at the Palmdale Pumpkin Patch, Kaleidoscope in Palmdale on Friday and Saturday, and at Haggin Oaks Farmers Market in Bakersfield on Sunday.

I won’t be at Roots & Rhythms Night Market on Friday. I made that decision in real time. Maybe five years ago, I would’ve tried to be in three places at once. But 2026 has been a lot, and I can feel my nervous system taking a hit. I don’t want to keep pushing until my body says, “F**k it, I’m done.”

Thank you for checking on me and reminding me I don’t have to carry all of this by myself. I’ll see you out there. 💜

We Caribbean people are humble, so this is not easy for me to post. But I’m putting my pride aside and sharing this.

The van was fully loaded for a major weekend: RefiSnacksEvents, Prancers Farm, Pumpkin Patch, Tehachapi Apple Festival, Little Sprouts KTSFarmersMarket and Haggin Oaks Farmers Market. My canopies, generator, herbs, herbal teas, supplies, signs, warmer, grill, fryer, umbrellas, and market equipment were all gone.

I started a GoFundMe to help replace urgent work items, repair the van, restock my herbs and teas, and get The Royal Womb back up and running.

I woke up this morning, and my van and months of work were just gone.

I had a huge weekend: the pumpkin patch, Little Sprouts, Apple Festival, Bakersfield Farmers Market, and my herbs.

Those herbs and herbal teas hit me hardest. Those blends took months of work, new moon, full moon, patience, and timing to create. They were in the van when it was stolen. I’m still trying to take it all in, and honestly, I don’t know how to feel.

Today my mom stepped into 93.

She wasn’t at her strongest and spent the day in bed. But she is here, and at 93, the candle is still burning.

Life is like a candle. Some never get lit. Some burn for only a little while. And some of us carry our flame through many seasons. We never know when that flame will go out.

Being a caregiver to my aging mom has taught me things you can only learn through hands-on care. I call it the clinical side of caregiving: paying close attention, noticing the small changes, and learning what supports, in a holistic way, the well-being of day-to-day life, movement, nourishment, the little things that can matter so much.

There’s wisdom in caring for someone over time, and I’m still learning from her. Today, I’m grateful for 93 years of her light.

Happy birthday, Mom. I love you. ❤️

My neighbors think I’m crazy for a long time 😂

Soca has been with me through every stage of my life. After I lost my nephew, sister, and grandnephew in 2019, it became my therapy.

Y’all always see me pelting my waist and parading. When I’m dancing, I get lost in that moment. The world stops. Nothing else exists. Soca has a rhythm that hits my soul in a way I can’t explain.

October is here. Guess what? It’s Menopause Awareness Month. No, I am not yet; I am enjoying my time in perimenopause, so this month I’ll be sharing my lived experience as I move through permi stage of life.

Anxiety on 101. All my patience is down the drain. So here I am, walking at night because I need some air and a minute to myself.

Does anybody else in perimenopause need a little walk before answering one more question or doing one more thing? 👀
