Timberfield farm: The homestead was founded in the 1800s. Original construction utilized stone from the properth for the foundation and hand-hewn beans. The original structure unfortunately burned down, but the foundation remained. In 1930's the Hachtmann family build the current house while reportedly living in the barn, pending completion of the home. Water was provided via a well in the front y

ard which remains today. A pipe from the well to the basement of the home was installed to allow for easy access to water during the winter. This pipe remains functional today. Electricity was not available in the 1930s when the house was build but wiring was installed. In 1940s the home finally had electricity. Mrs.Hahtmann lived in the home until her 90s when she then sold the property to the Jarvis family. The Jarvis family lived here for 13 years. In 1998 The Dorfman family purchased the property and raised their children here along with pigmy goats. In 2015 Dr.Hamilton purchased the property with the intent of restoring the property as a gentleman farmer.
