The story behind JJ Sporthorses 🤍
There is a lot more behind this business than what you see in the ring.
JJ Sporthorses USA didn’t start with a big plan, a big team, or everything figured out. It started with a lifelong love of horses, a desire to do things differently, and a belief that if we were going to build something, we wanted to build it the right way.
I have spent more than 30 years in this sport. I have been the student, the rider, the trainer, the horse owner, the groom, the person sweeping the aisle, the person standing ringside at 6 AM and the person still at the barn long after everyone else has gone home.
And somewhere along the way, the dream became bigger than simply riding horses.
It became about building a program.
A program where the details matter. Where horses are treated as individuals. Where young riders are taught more than how to get around a course. Where horsemanship, preparation, hard work and doing things correctly still matter.
Behind the polished show ring photos are early mornings, late nights, feed rooms, tack rooms, veterinary appointments, course walks, endless planning, horse shopping, training rides, difficult decisions, celebrations, setbacks and a whole lot of work that most people never see.
It is not always glamorous.
But it is ours.
Today, JJ Sporthorses is a private, family run program built around developing horses and riders to their highest potential while creating an environment where both can thrive.
And I am still learning. Still riding. Still training. Still dreaming bigger.
Because I don’t think you ever really arrive in this sport.
There is always another horse to develop, another rider to help, another goal to chase and another wild dream waiting on the other side of hard work.
This is our story.
And honestly, I think we are just getting started. 🤍
