One of my latest Etsy orders, and a little reminder of where it all began.

This month, Pretty Petals by Lucy celebrates 8 years!

What started with paper flowers has evolved into so much more, and these eight years have also been about discovering who I am as an artist and where I want my creativity to take me.

I’m excited to keep creating, explore new mediums, develop workshops, and share more of my art here.

No matter where this journey takes me, I’ll always be rooted in petals. 🌸

A little close-up of all the pages in my accordion book. I designed it to have a front and back, and for every page to feel like a tiny treasure, with dreamy elements from Frank Garcia’s beautiful collection.

I distressed each page with coffee and avocado dyes to give it that old, vintage look.

Hey friends! I’m still here, and I’m still creating. I’ve just been taking a little pause from social media while continuing to work behind the scenes.

I’m actually really grateful to have orders to work on again, and this is one of them: a custom order of 10 giant coffee filter flowers for an event, peonies and roses, all hand-dyed and handmade by me.

And here’s silly me trying to get pictures of them before they head out. 🤍

Birthday month is starting in this house 🎂
Beginning with my girl and her favorite purple blankey 💜

She asked if I could make her a teddy… so here we are.
A spun cotton bear in polka-dot pajamas, holding the blankey she’s loved forever 🧸✨

I’m still learning this craft, experimenting, shaping, letting each piece teach me something new. This one feels especially meaningful, because it’s not just about the technique… It’s about the why.

Soft, imperfect, sentimental, and made with so much heart 💫💕
