I don't like the term "granola", I prefer "modern day hippie". I've been called a hippie for more than 20 years of trying to live for a better earth and optimum health. With support and encouragement from many friends and family, I've finally decided to share with other what I've learned and what I love doing. I've put my nursing career on hiatus to better fulfill my role as a mom, and I am using
this time to finally follow my dream of making a better world, starting with my own family and now sharing with others who have the same desire. It doesn't get any more green than these grass straws! They cost about 2 cents each and can be stored for up to 6 months. What could be better?

So true...I love seeing the look on kidsā faces when they see our animals, fruit trees and vegetables. Even more so when they can feed and touch the animals, or plant or harvest in our gardens.
