The Farmers Market at Ardovino's Desert Crossing invites the community to celebrate National Farmers Market Day during the 4th Annual Shop & Taste Cooking Demo on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
This free educational event brings together local chefs, fresh ingredients, and the region's vibrant agricultural community for an interactive culinary experience that highlights the value of shopping local.
The cooking demonstration will feature ADC Executive Chef Danny Calleros alongside guest chefs Edgar Morales and Cristina Navarro from the El Paso Community College Culinary Arts Program. Guests will begin by accompanying the chefs through the farmers market as they select fresh, locally grown ingredients from participating vendors. They will then watch as the chefs transform those seasonal ingredients into a delicious, approachable meal while sharing cooking techniques, preparation tips, and ideas for incorporating local products into everyday meals.
