Guineas. Many people do not like guineas because they are "loud". Well, I love their loudness. The guineas just set off the 'alarm'. The chickens all heeded the call & ran into the building. The matriarch duck quacked at her concubines to get inside. One guinea had posted itself in the tree, and the others took up posts surrounding where the pasture meets the back yard. It took me a moment, but that's when I saw the fox in the pasture. He finally ran off into the "woods" (the empty wooded property next door). Thank you guineas.

Hurricane Isaias coming up our butt crack. Two days into prepping, and one to go because our yard was a MESS of stuff EVERYWHERE. I am exhausted! 13 hours today. Yeah, yeah, we're in & out of the cone. We're not on the coast. Blah, blah. BUT, Hurricanes are sometimes unpredictable. And I'd rather prepare for the worst, 'cuz I don't wanna be caught with my pants down. 😉 See less
