💌 Shipped Hatching Eggs…

I have a love/hate relationship with them.

Well let me rephrase that. Perhaps a love/disappointment with them.

See, small little hobby farms like myself don’t have a lot of moolah to be spending on hatching eggs.

So when I see a good deal, I jump on it. Like these English Orpington Eggs.

I don’t hatch them for the breeding aspect, I just hatch because I generally enjoy it, my kids do, and I just love seeing what little nugget pops out.

Imagine my dismay when 4 arrived broken. Disclaimer: It was NOT the sellers fault as they were packaged beautifully. BUT I threw a little wax on them and continued.

Candled day 5, 7, eeehh things aren’t looking to hot.

Today is day like 14 (I’d have to check my calendar) and it look like only 4 are viable. 😭

Granted I have some fibros of my own in there to hatch as well but, I so look forward to hatching “new breeds”

I guess the moral of this post was… well nothing really besides a pity party for me. Lol
