We’re going to be trying something new!

I’ve had a few people ask me about personalized dog tags, so I’ve decided to take the plunge and try it! I will also be trying dual colored Ritchey livestock tags within the next few weeks!

I will be ordering all tags within the next three days. If you see something you like, or have a specific color of livestock tag you’d like to try, let me know and I’ll get it ordered! There will be a limited amount of colors and shapes for the dog tags so snag them up quick!

I’ve attached pictures for inspiration but none of these pictures belong to me.

We welcomed home two new additions to the funny farm!

Wilma and Wilbur will be producing piglets in a couple of years to provide us with our main source of pork. KuneKune pigs are more of a fatty pig rather than a meet pig but we are excited to see what we can come up with!

Aaron and I have been running around like crazy these past few months! I finally told myself I need to make time to bring everyone up to speed on what’s happening at the farm! I haven’t posted anything since June and a lot has happened since then. A huge thank you to all of our followers that have stuck with us even when we aren’t active on social media. We couldn’t do it without you!🩵

Voices are continually heckling farmers, demanding they stop the abuse, the cruelty, the environmental changes, the crop production, the education.
Everyone wants to tell a farmer how to farm, until it’s time to actually to walk the walk. Then farming is too hard, not enough money to be made, 365 days a year, in every type of weather, insert one of many, MANY excuses.
The lack of education on animal husbandry and food production is astonishing. Don’t believe me? Just read through some comments on your favorite farm page!
1.3% of our US population are farmers, 10.5% are related to the agricultural and food sectors. That’s a huge weight on the shoulders of few. It’s been reported that by 2030 our current farmers will age out, with no one taking over their roles.
If you have truly genuine questions about a practice you see, ASK! Most farmers love to share their knowledge and gush over what they produce.
Those who are complaining without actually taking any action to feed themselves, you’re literally biting the hands that feed you.
So when one spends time belittling, degrading and slandering those who grow the food, soon when you make the trip to that trendy grocer, all you may be eating is your words……
To the ones locking arms, supporting and learning, we see you. We appreciate you. You keep us going💛

For the first time EVER we let one of our hens hatch some eggs completely on her own! My favorite Australorp has been sitting on a few eggs for three weeks. She has only left the eggs long enough to get something to eat and drink, then straight back to her eggs. Aaron calls me the crazy chicken lady but now I’m the very proud crazy chicken grandma!😂

We love seeing progress with the eggs!
