Miracle Maverick has a new name at the farm: Shadow. He’s finally coming around, stepping out of the shadows to see what’s going on. After such a rough start, when he nearly died, every curious little step feels like a victory. Bringing him through it wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. Now he’s spunky, stubborn, and full of life.
His journey reminds me of our walk with Jesus. He never promised that life would be easy (John 16:33), but He did promise, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5, KJV).
There are things you simply can’t put a price on. I’m humbly grateful for these small victories after battles no one else ever sees. This farm ministers to me in ways that leave me speechless. I believe that was part of God’s intention for it all along. In the quiet moments here, I often hear Him the clearest.
I’m even thankful for the struggles. God has used them to change me, and His Word reminds me that in Christ, we become new creatures (2 Corinthians 5:17). I’m excited to see what comes next, in His timing.
And then there’s little Phoebe, perched on that massive roll of hay! She looks like she has the heart of David facing Goliath. What a sweet reminder that “the battle is the Lord’s” (1 Samuel 17:47, KJV).
