Finally Trying Coffee from Puerto Rico!🇵🇷

Here’s a few reasons why I chose this particular brand. I saw Omi Hopper 🇵🇷 share this on her page and it peaked my interest. I then went to their website to see how much it would be to ship (I’ve looked into other PR coffee brands and the cost of shipping was more than the coffee itself). This is part 2 of our “From Maize to Masa” podcast. In this episode, I speak with Rueben Gomez, owner of De La Vega Tortillas, to learn the story behind their growing business and their passion for bringing authentic tortillas to the Carolinas.

As part of the visit, I also get an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of their production facility, where you’ll see the tortilla-making process from start to finish. From masa preparation to the finished product, this episode offers a rare look at the tradition, technique, and hard work that goes into one of Latin America’s most important staple foods.
