Growing up as a second-generation Filipina, I always found myself searching for ways to feel connected to my roots. My mother's lumpia recipe became that bridge—a tradition passed down, filled with love and memories of family gatherings. Every roll I make is a nod to my heritage and a piece of my heart shared with you.
Shanghai-style lumpia is a Filipino take on spring rolls, but it’s smaller, crispier, and packed with bold flavors. These are bite-sized rolls of thin, crunchy wrapper filled with a savory mix of seasoned ground meat and finely chopped vegetables. They're rolled tightly, deep-fried to golden perfection, and served hot with a dipping sauce like sweet chili sauce, sweet and sour or vinegar.
Think of it as the Filipino cousin to egg rolls or spring rolls, but with its own unique, delicious twist. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or party food!
Our lumpia is made with all beef and we never skimp out on the filling. Why not pork or chicken? We believe in perfecting one thing and doing it exceptionally well!
