🌧️☔ Weather Update from Your Teaspoon Family ☔🌧️

After keeping a close eye on the weather forecast and the potential for severe weather in our area, we have made the decision to close tomorrow for the safety of our staff, customers, and community.

As much as we love serving our Communi-TEA, the safety of our guests, staff, and families comes first. 💛

We are hopeful to reopen on Wednesday during our normal business hours, but Mother Nature always gets the final say. We will continue to monitor conditions and post any updates here if road conditions or weather concerns change our plans.

🏡 Stay safe.
🚗 Avoid unnecessary travel if possible.
❤️ Check on your neighbors.
☕ Put the kettle on and enjoy a cozy day at home.

Sometimes being a market promoter is tough. ❤️

I've seen posts and heard from so many people that the Houston area is expected to get a lot of rain this week, and honestly, I'm torn on what the right decision is for this Wednesday's Streetlight Market.

My biggest concern is our small businesses, especially our bakers and food vendors who spend hours—and a lot of money—making fresh breads, cookies, cakes, and other homemade goodies. I never want them to prepare everything only to have a rainy evening where no one comes out to shop.

On the other hand, we've all seen Mother Nature change her mind at the last minute, and I'd hate to cancel an event that could have turned into a beautiful evening.

These decisions are never easy.

So I'm curious…if the forecast continues to call for rain, would you still come out and shop?

OR would you rather see us cancel early so our vendors don't invest time and money into products they may not be able to sell?

Sometimes the hardest part of running a market isn't organizing the event—it's trying to figure out what Mother Nature is going to do. 🌧️💛 We'd love to hear your thoughts.
