'Ghoogni' a traditional and very popular Bengali dish and a favorite street food at Kolkata , is traditionally cooked with yellow matar....or Vatana. This is just another lentil curry that I cook too and my family loves it just like a side dish for dinner, lunch or just as a snack with all chuneys and bhujiya on top 😍!
If you cook with green Vatana , they taste great 👍🏼😍!

I like this lentil curry with fried fresh coconut 🥥 pieces on top 🤤😊... otherwise it's just not complete for me 🤓!

Today I cooked a hearty Daal with garlic tomato 🍅, and chilli, little spicy as we are going through a cough, runny nose and cold phase ..
Also prepared zucchini, potatoes 🥔 and baby spinach curry with mustard and khus khus paste a Bengali recipe slightly twisted 😊..and a little papad on the side 😊!
No deliveries today , need to take care of hubby and kid today as both are going through these conditions 😬!!!

Just a quick picture today before food delivery. It was a busy day and I cooked so many rotis and Parathas 😊!!!
Cooked 'Dahi Baigan' today , it's a favorite recipe in our house 👌🏼😍! It's eggplant 🍆 shallow fried with lots of patience 🤓 and then dipped in a curry made with yogurt and spices, I also mix little chickpea flour with the yogurt to give it a thicker base !!
Enjoy with roti, paratha or fresh rice 🤤😌👌🏼!!!

Today's delivery was Dal makhni and palak aloo ki sabzi 🙏🏼😊!
Aloo palak is a favorite item in our house , I cook with more spinach and less potatoes just because spinach is good for us and we love those organic baby spinach ❤️!
When I used to get this from outside, what I got was lots of oil floating on top , and a little spinach and lots of potatoes😬!

I have this customer who loves chicken 😀... But since I don't cook non veg in particular days, I only offered vegetarian and now they love vegetarian dishes 😍, I offered many different lentil curry or Daals and now they often request please can we have that Daal !!!
Or can you please ' Achari Bhindi ' or ' kadhi pakore ' 🤓!!!
I still didn't cook all my vegetarian specialities for them...as I keep getting repeat requests 😀!

Today wanted to share just all Pictures of Daals ( not all actually...I didn't get time to take all pics ) that I cook for the families who take weekly pick up from my kitchen 😊🙏🏼😀!

✅These are all different lentils or Daals :
1. Simple tool Daal Tadka
2. Mixed Daal Palak
3. Lasuni Daal with Brown whole masoor Daal
4. Dal Mughlai with whole green moong
5. Simple yellow moong Daal with cauliflower and green peas
6. Dal makhni with whole urad daal...chole , vatana , Rajma , white urad daal and many more are not here in this collage.

✅Also for Daals I don't really have a Menu , every week I cook something different that I didn't cook for a long time !! They put it on me about the Daal choice 😀
