Kyle has been home 16 days. He spent the 1st 10 days quarantined. Got a clean bill of health! When I turned him out into the bigger pasture and watch him moved I was genuinely confused as to how this animal ended up in the situation he did.. Im not gonna lie, he moved better then a majority of the ones at the farm currently..
This horse is so kind, very respectful on the ground, non aggressive towards any of the other horses, I'm just so over all pleased by him. Hes become so loving, knows the daily routine and stolen a piece of my heart.
Its litterly been 100 degrees almost every day here in Kansas since hes been home and finally back to the 80s today.... so it seemed like a perfect day to see how he rides. Nothing more then a walk/ trot and he is slightly off on the front right occasionally. Hes packaged up, on the bit, ready to go and knows nothing but wasnt naughty at all.
We will be going back to the vet, getting xrays and the lameness figured out before any more is done. This didn't hurt him and I think he really enjoyed getting to go out and ride in the jump filed with Riddler for a change.
Side note: Kyle is RRP Elligable for 2027 and in 11 years only 1% of the horses that have attended have been pulled from a slaughter pipeline... .maybe he should join next years team??? π€·πΌββοΈ
