ONE YEAR LATER… AND A WHOLE LOT TO BE THANKFUL FOR.
This time last year, life looked a little different for our family.
Behind the scenes of the farm market, the produce, the animals and all the everyday craziness that comes with farm life, I was fighting a battle I never expected to face — cancer.

I just went back for another checkup.. .
And I am incredibly thankful to share that…
THE CANCER IS STILL IN REMISSION. Praise God.

Going through something like that has a way of changing how you look at the things that once seemed ordinary.

Another morning opening the market.
Another patch of beans to pick.
Another busy Saturday.
Another fall season just around the corner.
Another conversation with a customer who has become more like a friend.

And this year, one of the greatest blessings of all — welcoming a new grandbaby into our family.

A year ago, in the middle of fighting cancer, I couldn't see everything the year ahead would hold.

Today, I get to.

I get to watch our family grow.
I get to hold that new grandbaby.
I get to work alongside my family.
I get to welcome all of you through the doors of our market.

And I get to look forward to another beautiful fall at Genntown.

Those everyday moments don't feel quite so ordinary anymore.

And maybe that's why the timing of this great news feels especially meaningful.

This week is CUSTOMER APPRECIATION WEEK at Genntown Farm Market!

After the year our family has had, the word appreciation means a little more to us these days.

Year after year, YOU show up.

You shop our little farm market. You tell your friends about us. You bring your children and grandchildren. You support our family farm and so many other local families whose products fill our shelves.

So next week isn't just about specials or a little thank-you at the register.

It's about celebrating YOU.

And we're going to celebrate all week long!

Each day we'll have different Customer Appreciation specials! Then on Saturday & Sunday, we're finishing the week with a little celebration — FREE CIDER SLUSHIES & COOKIES!

Just a simple way for our family to say thank you to the people who continue to support us, encourage us and make Genntown Farm Market what it is.

One year later. Still cancer-free.
Our family has grown.
The farm keeps growing.
And we're more thankful than ever.
