Hello, my name is Dallas Headley. I am a Junior at Lebanon High School, 4H Club Co-Leader, Linn County 4H Ambassador, Chapter FFA President, Oregon Junior Pork Producers Vice President, and manage my families show pig operation. My sister and I jackpot our animals in multiple states locally and nationally. I actively work with the youth and their animals helping guide and teach multiple species.

I have spent most of this last year continuing my education learning about Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health, Livestock Evaluation and Artificial Insemination. I received my FFA State Degree and was awarded the FFA Teamwork honors at our Spring Banquet.

The list of 4H leaders and superintendents that have helped me is a long one, as I started in 4H when I was 9 as an idea that my aunts suggested, and now look at me! I am teaching Cloverbuds how to fit goats, properly feed their animals, how to wrap legs and many other things. I am so glad that Colli and Cindy helped me get my first pigs, if you or your kids are considering 4H – DO IT! There are also other projects for our youth such as the static exhibits, perhaps an animal isn’t in the cards for your family, check out the static events – your local 4H extension office can help you with this. I have personally seen kids in my own 4H group grow and explore new avenues of learning because they had someone to help guide them and be their friend and help give them the confidence that they had all along but needed to recognize for themself.

I would like to invite you to come see me and the other youth at the Linn County Fair and Auction held at the Albany Fairgrounds Saturday July 20th where I will have two Market Hogs being exhibited. The fair is a competitive and exciting time for our youth to exhibit and show off their hard work and dedication to the industry.

If you are interested in purchasing my/any market hog(s) please attend the auction and help support the local youth!

If you would like to make a donation to help support my future projects; the money goes toward proper nutrition, vaccines, bedding, breeding teaching and supplies.
