The girls were all buggered up last night at dusk so we went down to check it out. Fully expecting to see something trampled...... 🤣

Full disclosure: we have a few cougars that live in the area so we take the cows being worried pretty seriously.

This photo makes me happy. Nevermind the funny colored calf. This first calf heifer had a still born. 12 hours, a Jersey/Char dairy calf and some Ferappease later and BOOM! Instant Momma! Thank goodness for good maternal genes. Hopefully it was a fluke thing and she will raise a fancy Simmental next year.

Boy, our Sim/Angus bull Ralph sold quick! But there are lots of great bulls to sell tomorrow at the Rock'n D Ranch and Dynamite Farms and A & H Club Lambs bull sale. Always a great time with awesome folks.
