The Seacoast Region will have a vibrant, diverse community of successful farms and food producers and ever-expanding access for consumer. PROGRAMS..We operate six Farmers' Markets in the Seacoast (four in summer and two in winter)..We publish an annual local good guide/directory called Seacoast Harvest that is available in both digital and hard copy format. ..We offer educational programming for kids and people of all ages to learn about local food...We facilitate SNAP and nutrition incentive programs to increase access to local food.

Our 2026 Local Turkey Guide is here! 🦃

Make supporting local farmers part of your holiday traditions this year. With a variety of local farms in the area offering fresh, locally raised turkeys, you can bring something special to your holiday table while supporting local farmers.

Be sure to order early! These birds are in high demand and tend to sell out quickly.

The annual Portsmouth Pumpkin SMASH is Saturday, October 17th! Head to the Portsmouth Farmers' Market at 1 Junkins Ave from 8am-12pm to shop fall favorites and participate in the Pumpkin Smash.
This Portsmouth tradition has become the October catharsis of choice for young and old alike. SMASHing implements and personal protective equipment (PPE) supplied!
- BYOP (bring your own pumpkin) $5/SMASH
- Choose your own pumpkin $10/SMASH
All proceeds go to the Portsmouth Halloween Parade.

REMEMBER... New Hampshire’s biggest Halloween parade is brought to you by the people, for the people. The parade is NOT a city-sponsored event. It is staged by volunteers and funded solely by the community, primarily through grassroots events like this one. Thank you for your support.

The Durham and Dover Farmers’ Markets are officially closed for the season!

Thank you to everyone who shopped with us this season. Whether you made the market part of your weekly routine or visited for the very first time, you helped support local farmers, food producers, and small businesses while strengthening our local food system.

A heartfelt thank you to the vendors who attended the Durham and Dover markets. You are the heart of the market, and without you, none of this would be possible. Thank you for your commitment to the markets through the summer heat, rain, and wind. We are so grateful for all that you bring to our markets and communities each week!

Thank you to our musicians who brought the good vibes to the markets this season! Your music brought the markets to life and helped create a welcoming atmosphere for customers, vendors, and staff to enjoy each week.

We also want to extend a big thank you to M&T Bank in Durham for hosting the Durham Farmers’ Market every Monday this season and helping us create a space for local farmers, vendors, and community members to come together each week

While Durham and Dover have wrapped up for the year, there’s still time to visit us at the Exeter and Portsmouth Farmers’ Markets, both open through the end of October. Be sure to make the most of the final weeks of the summer market season!

It’s already been a week since we celebrated 20 years of Seacoast Eat Local at our Growing Together event.

The night was truly one to remember, and we’re still taking it all in. We have more to reflect on as we celebrate 20 years and look ahead to the next 20, but in the meantime, we want to take a moment to thank the people who helped make the evening possible.

Thank you to our sponsors and to everyone who contributed food, beverages, services, time, and so much more. We’re grateful for the many people who came together as one community to make this celebration what it was.

Help us finish the market season off strong and donate to our item drives in Exeter and Portsmouth!
At our Exeter Farmers’ Market we will be collecting bags or boxes of pasta in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul!
At our Portsmouth Farmers’ Market we will be collecting winter accessories, such as hats, gloves, mittens, and scarfs, throughout the month of October to benefit Cross Roads House.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to any of our Dover, Exeter, or Portsmouth Item Drives throughout the summer season. These drives benefit local organizations who offer support services to community members across the Seacoast and we are proud to be able to create a place for people to donate to these organizations.
You can drop off donations for each drive as you enter the market at the big blue SEL tent.
