SUCH BS. Doesn’t ANYONE see what’s happening? How can we be so hūpō???

The Puna community has been fighting for 40+ years against the Israeli-owned Puna Geothermal Venture (PGV) and their unregulated fracking operations destroying our wahi pana right next to this area. They’ve already caused decades of irreversible ecosystem damage, toxic wells, deaths, and chronic sicknesses in every household down there — with zero monitoring.

Everywhere else on the planet they know how harmful this fracking-style drilling is, yet here in Hawaiʻi they’ve perfected the lie to kanaka as if it’s good. Now they’re expanding even during the injunction, proving decades of lies to the government and our people, while refusing any studies or acknowledgement (LOL its insanity).

They’ve NOW secured the entire triangle including areas around Honolulu Landing, and are lying about wanting 2000 acres at Kumukahi to “preserve it,” while actually taking the whole area where their toxic drilling wells are already located — so they can keep getting their free passes as they expand outwards.

We as the Puna Community living with geothermal in our front and backyards are in court right now fighting this expansion which will head into Honolulu Landing to Kaimu and down through Kapoho and Kumukahi , affecting thousands more people—Kumukahi is actually Hawaiian Kingdom’s greatest wahi pana, the easternmost tip is where all life springs forth to all other wahi pana in the islands.

“Aunty Ash” is a placed pawn by PGV’s lawyers firm Hastings and Pleadwell (Israeli Ormais lawyers) pushing the County to hand over the land.
This is NOT good news in ANY way. The destruction is irreversible. This lawsuit is Native Hawaiian-backed by Pele lineage.

What’s so hard to understand? Let’s see past the veil they show us . Time to organize and stop this before it’s too late.

Do your research and stand up if you actually care about preserving this place —be present in numbers at the geothermal court dates . And please for heavens sake: stop thanking the county for desecration and land theft . Its quite weird.

This is the Hawaii Geothermal Rulemaking Petition filed pro se by Sara Steiner — the same warrior paralegal behind the active injunction against the County of Hawaiʻi and Israeli-owned Ormat’s Puna Geothermal Venture.

WE STAND FOR:

♧The Puna community that has been suffering 50 years of unmonitored, unregulated industrial poisoning

DID YOU KNOW- Geothermal “fracking” releases toxic hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) gas, heavy metals, arsenic, mercury, and silica into our air and water. These poisons cause eye and respiratory irritation, headaches, nausea, breathing problems, and long-term damage to the nervous and respiratory systems. The high-pressure injection triggers earthquakes and seismic harm to our ʻāina, while contaminating groundwater and desecrating Pele’s sacred lands.

They’re pushing a dangerous lie called “clean energy” to keep fracking and desecrating our ʻāina — selling poison to Native Hawaiian beneficiaries while destroying what’s sacred.

This petition hearing in Hilo Environmental Court this Wednesday morning is our chance to finally force real regulations on this toxic industry — rules that ALREADY EXIST EVERYWHERE ELSE because the world knows how deadly it is.

This IS Mauna Kea 2.0. As It’s headed straight for Mauna Kea and every other sacred site if we don’t stop it now.

We need NUMBERS. We need Pele’s ʻOhana — the Native Hawaiian people — in that courthouse standing in solidarity with Tūtū.

📍 Arrive by 9:00 AM. Meet in the parking lot for p**e before we go into the 930 am hearing.
Wear RED and/or BLACK for Pele, for Puna, for Moku o Keawe.

This only gets covered up if we stay silent. Show up. Be loud. Protect the ʻāina.

This is our BEST chance to stop the expansion of toxic emissions on sacred land. Bring your voice, your signs, your rage, your love for Puna.
