Wow familia one year already? Time surely flew. That’s what happens when you’re in good company.
This past year has been a ride. As a family we are continuing to learn, grow and embrace all parts of this beautiful journey alongside with our familia in the Lenior community. Taking on this journey of opening our second location in Lenoir, NC was a dream that was prayed over, tossed back and forth in conversation but what God puts in your mind is for a reason. We trusted in his plan and trusted that he would see us through. Dora Alfaro is a resilient woman who had the opportunity to carry out her dream alongside her husband Eulises Alfaro and their 6 children. Being a family business means spending family time all the time. Dora, learned and grew her passion for cooking beside her mother. She continued to nurture that love and passion in the US and sold food out of her home, church and would drive around town at work sites. Little by little the dream was being creating.
In 2016, our family took a leap of faith and opened our first location in Marion, NC Restaurante y Pupuseria Dora. With sweats, tears and blood we have been able to create and share a place that we call a second home. At the 8 year mark Dora and her husband, Eulises, decided to take another leap of faith. Alongside their children , they took on the challenge of opening their second location in Lenoir, NC.
Today marks a year since we open the doors to El Dorado Restaurante y Pupuseria but this dream began months prior.
Familia, thank you for supporting us. For helping us build this dream and make it into reality. You have allowed us to share our love and passion through food. Like they say, the way to the heart is through the stomach, we have enjoyed creating and building our connection with the community of Lenoir. cheers to one year and hopes for many to come.
