I have had these words swirling in my mind to post since we discovered Salem was pregnant for the last time. I think it’s why I have waited longer to post this litter because it is such bitter sweet. I appreciate everyone who has been a part of this journey. I enjoyed getting to know everyone and their families and fur babies. As well as making special and even surprise memories. 🥺🐾❤️
My husband and I have spent the last few years raising Texas Heeler puppies.
What started as a simple question from our son—asking if we could breed our Australian Shepherd, Salem, with our Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog, Spooks—turned into a special journey full of memories. After taking the time to research the Texas Heeler breed, we quickly fell in love with everything they represent.
Salem and Spooks are both incredibly intelligent, loyal, and loving dogs, and we knew they had something special to pass on. Watching their traits come through in each litter has been one of the most rewarding experiences we’ve had as a family. We have worked hard to build a strong, beautiful lineage of Texas Heelers that we are truly proud of.
But what has made this journey the most meaningful isn’t just the puppies—it’s the people. Every family that has welcomed one of our puppies into their home has become a part of our story. We’ve met so many wonderful people along the way, and seeing our puppies grow up loved, cared for, and cherished has meant more to us than we can fully put into words.
As much as we’ve loved this chapter, our life’s priorities have changed, and with that has come a lot of reflection. We’ve also become more aware of just how many dogs are already in need of loving homes. Because of that, and our commitment to being responsible and intentional, we’ve made the decision not to continue breeding.
That said, we are so proud of what we’ve built and the legacy of dogs we’re leaving behind. These puppies come from a line of loyal, intelligent, and well-loved companions, and we have no doubt they will bring just as much joy to their new families as they have to ours.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, trusted us, and become part of this journey of our last three litters.
This is our final litter. I look forward to making memories and building connections for our puppies one last time with this fourth litter.
