Fun hands-on cooking classes for kids in Lexington, KY!

30 young chefs + buttercream + rock candy = one AMAZING afternoon!

Our Geode Cupcake Workshop at the Lexington Public Library – Eastside Branch was a blast!

Each young chef made their own buttercream frosting, chose their color, learned how to fill and use a piping bag, and transformed a cupcake into a sparkling edible geode using colorful rock-candy crystals.

There was frosting everywhere, lots of creativity, and 30 completely different cupcakes—which might have been my favorite part!

A huge thank you to the Eastside Branch for welcoming Cool Chefs and giving young chefs a place to cook, create, experiment, and learn.

Guess where Cool Chefs is headed this Wednesday!

The buttercream ingredients are ready, the rock candy is sparkling, and I’m getting everything packed up for 30 young chefs at the Lexington Public Library – Eastside Branch!

Wednesday’s kitchen is going to be a colorful one: buttercream, edible geodes, and a little color-changing kitchen science!

Something sweet is coming to the kitchen!

Next Wednesday, Cool Chefs is heading to the Lexington Public Library- Eastside Branch for a Geode Cupcake Workshop!

Young chefs will make their own buttercream frosting, choose their colors, and transform cupcakes into sparkling edible geodes using colorful rock-candy crystals.

All 30 spots are filled, and we’re so excited to welcome 30 young chefs into the kitchen! We can’t wait to see their creativity shine!

Science you can eat is definitely our kind of science!

The Cool Chefs Club had so much fun with Girl Scouts in the Kitchen! The girls mixed, measured, shook (and shook some more! ), and created their very own ice cream from scratch.

We loved hearing all of their creative ice cream flavor names—from Rocky Clouds and Strawberry Blast to Unity, just to name a few!

It was a fun day of learning about freezing point, temperature, and the science behind making ice cream—with a pretty delicious experiment at the end!

We did a little experimenting in the Cool Chefs kitchen!

What happens when you combine ice, rock salt, a little science…and a whole lot of shaking? Homemade ice cream!

We put our upcoming Ice Cream Science Lab to the test and experimented with vanilla and strawberry. And yes—the taste test was definitely our favorite part. 😂

This weekend, Girl Scouts will get to make their own ice cream while exploring temperature, freezing point, and the science happening inside that bag.

At The Cool Chefs Club KY, cooking is the activity—but learning is happening the whole time.

💚Girl Scout week is here at The Cool Chefs Club KY!

This Saturday we’re getting together with Brownie & Junior Girl Scouts from Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road Councilfor our Ice Cream Science Lab! I can’t wait for the girls to experiment, create and, of course, make some ice cream!

💚 From Girl Scout cookies…to cooking up big dreams!

Not only was I a Girl Scout troop leader, I was a Girl Scout myself! Some of my earliest lessons in entrepreneurship came from selling Girl Scout cookies—setting goals, talking to customers, building confidence, and learning what it meant to work toward something.

Looking back, I can see how those experiences helped build a small foundation for me to eventually take a leap and start my own business, The Cool Chefs Club KY.

I’m so grateful for those early lessons, and it makes it even more special that I now get to help inspire the next generation of girls to learn, create, build confidence, and try new things.

Next Saturday, it all comes full circle as The Cool Chefs Club KY hosts an Ice Cream Science Lab for Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts with Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road!

Tomorrow is the day!

We’re getting everything ready for our Blueberries for Sal Storybook Cookery adventure at Tates Creek Library!

Our little chefs will enjoy this classic story, decorate their own chef hats, and head into the kitchen to make yummy blueberry yogurt parfaits!

I can’t wait to welcome our youngest Cool Chefs and bring this sweet story to life through cooking!
