Duck appreciation post! They are one of the messier animals I've ever worked with. But their personalities are amazing! So snuggly and so quirky! My favorite has always been Launch pad, she always nested in flower pots. So glad to enjoy more ducklings!

Everyone got to enjoy some popcicles today to help beat the heat!

Tofu recieved an indoor cooling bath to help her battle her heat exhaustion along with some vitamin water with a side of oatmeal. Needless to say she enjoyed it!

Make sure you are giving your animals plenty of opportunities to hydrate and cool off! This sudden switch from cold to hot can be really hard on them!

I'll post later but I made several summer popcicles for the flocks to help them stay cool and for then to enjoy some enrichment!

The four ducks have finally finished hatching! As wonderful as chicks are, I am absolutely in love with them! We also just had a calf born as well during the storm!

Bantams, barred rocks, Golden deathlayers, trueblue whitings, easter eggers, polish and jersey giants! A total of 68 chicks have hatched this week!!

We now have the first round of chicks out! Waiting on one more bantam who is fashionably late in hatching! Very excited!

We are women owned and family oriented bringing you hand raised, loved, well bred poultry with lineages that can date back multiple generations so you always know exactly what you have even to the exact percentage! Our goal is to break farmers and new poultry owners/hobbiests away from ill bred and raised commercial hatchery poultry that isn't always what they sell you and are not always in a healthy condition. We have Easter Eggers, Brahmas, Black Copper Marans, Rhode Island Reds, Australorps, Jersey Giants, and many, many more with a specialty in Bantams and pet chickens!
