Hi y'all. I know it has been a while. Life has been chaos. And not in great ways. But everything happens for a reason. I was recently diagnosed with a (potential) ulcer brought on by intense stress. Being a stressful person, add in a traumatic experience, and a high stress job environment, it seemed almost inevitable. And since the ex-job was adding more stress in trying to get some time off to even begin healing, I had to cut them loose.

And so here I am. This time wading in rather than diving into the deep end. Not exactly sure where this journey is taking me, but I am using it wisely. Not to mention Jeffry has been pushing me like crazy to just open up a shop. His words, "sure we will struggle in the beginning, but we will be happier." Maybe he is right. I was always happier seeing people smile as they ate my products.

Hello my friends! Life has thrown a few health curve balls over the last month! Went to NYC for a convention and got sick the night before we were to head home. Got home and then my partner got sick. Then just as soon as he got better, I got sick again!

On top of it all, we have been trying to get our house put together so I can have somewhere to bake. Not really going smoothly. But what can you do? We are almost done with the living room and bedroom floors, which means we can then begin the kitchen! Cannot wait!

In the meantime, I had the typical funk and have been feeling pulled to create a recipe for a luscious lemon custard pie. So that is what I am doing!

Good morning my friends! Just doing a quick check-in. Gotta hold myself accountable right?!

Started working on business plan and quickly got overwhelmed, which is understandable. But it got me realising I was exhausting my energies incorrectly. I was focusing on a fully realised bakery rather than the market, which is the stage I am at. So I took a step back, and refocused!

Since I have already done markets, I have a base knowledge of what I want. So now I am fleshing it out completely. I am creating a specific menu, plotting out potential sales, and a list of business needs and ingredients (i.e. costs). Also which recipes need to be figured out or perfected.

I feel very proud of my work so far. I have only done part of January, but it is more work than I have done in a long while! I already have a list of ingredients I need to work on a recipe in the coming days!

Again, thank you all for your support and love. You have all helped keep me moving forward. I am excited to keep showing my progress. Much love 💕

Well I have finally begun listening to the universe. Recently it has been giving me pushes to get back to business (literally). I have heard it, but always found little to no time to give it. I think the universe is getting frustrated with me. I was walking through Meijer and saw seasonal candles. I was instantly reminded of the amazing candles vendors would have at the markets I did. I received such an intense emotional nostalgic energy that I knew I couldn't put it off any longer.

And so this is the second time in the past week that I have sat down to start getting my s**t together. I miss the friends I made at the markets in Nashville. I am so proud of their success. And I wish I was successful alongside them. So no more procrastinating. No more putting it off. Our plan is to start trickling back into the market scene here in Lexington and Wi******er next year.

So send me your positive vibes, positive energy, prayers, good karma, etc. I love you all and I am so excited for this. I am making a come back! ❤️🤗

Feeling pretty proud! Prior to making these I was honestly wondering if this was another case of not following through. It has been one of my biggest problems. Issues in life bog you down, and then you find it is super easy to make excuses to not follow through. "I'm tired", "I have to work", "I forgot", "tomorrow/next week", "can I afford these ingredients?", etc.

I feel grateful that I didn't allow these excuses to stop me this time! They almost did. A couple times! But I was able to push through and complete them!

Hello my lovelies! I know it has been a while and for that I apologise. You know you are alive when life is a rollercoaster 🤣😂

Since it is the holidays, I am making up some of our holiday favourites to gift some friends! Working on some snickerdoodles, orange gingersnaps (my personal favourite), and the candy Cane sugar cookies!

With luck, and dedication, next holiday season I will have cookie/treat gift baskets available for purchase!
