Going on vacation after 2 weeks of rain = the weeds grew more then the stuff you planted 🙁

Think I am close to being finished with planting for this year. Late late start due to frosts, no room to run plant starters because of chickens 🤦🏼‍♂️ and just some other general life mayhem. Not everything I was going to plant, but it’s enough. Have to finish planting the watermelon and pumpkins in their new spot and I’m also going to add another row or two of sweet corn to stagger the harvest.

🍓 🍓 🍓 With the help of one of my amazing daughters yesterday we knocked out the strawberry planting finally! I purchased a 100 bareroot variety pack from Stark Bro's Nurseries and we can’t wait to see them grow and the many abundant harvests we will have in the future. I actually have several more to plant as there were a few extra in each 25 pack, but we ran out of time to get them in and we were out of prepared planting spots by then too. Hopefully we get those finished after my other awesome daughter’s softball games today
