Over here at Riverside Pines, we love summer as much as the next person, but we are also planners! As we start talking about decoration options and schedules for the wreath making workshops this winter, alot of the sessions are already reserved.

These wreath workshops have quickly become like your favorite hair salon, you’ve gotta plan ahead or you’ll miss your chance!!

We’d added wreath making stations, so now you can have a total of 10 people making wreaths at a time!

If you bought a tree from us and would like to recycle it, bring it to the farm now through Jan 15. Please make sure everything is removed from the tree. Drop it off in the tree holder at the end of the driveway.

We have several Scotch pine over 6ft

If you like a slimmer tree, we have a limited number of Canaan firs. Canaan’s are the only firs we have ready this year.

Time to trim the firs. We do these with knives. More manual than the pines but less to take off.

Summer is when most of the work is done on a Christmas tree farm. Each year trees that have been planted for 2-3 years get sheared. Pines are sheared in July and Firs are in August.

90 degree temperatures and no rain in the 15 day forecast means time for the irrigation to go in. Thankful for the cooler temps this weekend while we installed it.

When you plant Christmas trees the saying is, they sleep, they creep then they leap. I think by the look of the new growth on these concolor already, they are going to leap this year 😊

Our first season to be open and we feel so blessed. Thank you to everyone who bought a tree, wreath, porch pot or attended a wreath workshop this year. We only have a few of our larger size trees left so this Saturday December 11 will be our last day to sell trees this year.

Our hope for next year is to build a building for a store and hopefully have a bigger variety of trees to sell.

Watch for posts throughout the year and especially close to Christmas next year of what we will have available.
