We love welcoming students onto our farm for them to experience agriculture hands on and truly see where their food comes from. This past Wednesday, we enjoyed hosting a homeschool group for our Harvest Farm Tour.

What we take for granted is something these students have never seen or experienced before. Even some FFA students who come out on our tours have never seen walnuts being harvested or cut into a walnut to learn about PTB (packing tissue brown) and how that predicts when we harvest.

It's our mission to continue to educate our youth about ag, and let them experience it to inspire the next generation to take an active role in being true stewards of our land.

Despite the craziness of harvest, this is the best time to get these new trees in the ground, so it had to be done.

And just like that...walnut harvest has officially begun!!

As we head into our busiest season of the year, remember to be patient with all of the farmers on the road moving equipment and bringing lots of dust along the way.

We want to get through harvest as quickly as possible, too, so bare with all of us and thank your local farmer for bringing food to your table. 🚜

Today, our regenerative farm welcomed a wonderful group of students from Gateway Academy for a hands-on Pre-Harvest Tour!

From getting their hands in the soil and learning about the importance of soil health to seeing where walnuts really come from, these young learners got to experience farming beyond the textbook.

We believe the future of food starts with curious minds, healthy soil, and a deeper connection to the land. 🌎
