NOT TODAY, DEVIL! 😂💪🏼

Have you ever had one of those days when something comes completely out of nowhere and threatens to steal your peace?

Well, today was one of those days for me! 🌳🤣

I had a choice. I could get angry, confront the situation, and spend the rest of my day frustrated. Or I could handle what needed handling and keep moving forward.

I chose peace.

Not because what happened was okay, but because what God is doing in my life is bigger than today’s distraction.

The enemy may try to steal your peace, but you don’t have to hand it over!

You can’t control everything that happens around you, but you can choose how you respond.

My circumstances may be unsettled, but my spirit doesn’t have to be.

Not today, devil! My peace isn’t for sale! ❤️

WHEN YOUR SPIRIT FINALLY RESTS ❤️
What if this next season isn’t about fighting harder, pushing longer, or trying to figure everything out?
What if it’s about REST?
Not physical rest. I’m talking about the kind of rest that quiets the restlessness you’ve been carrying in your spirit.
In Scripture, the number seven often represents completion. God rested on the seventh day, not because He was tired, but because His work was finished.
And here’s what I want you to remember:
GOD IS A FINISHER! 🙌
Philippians 1:6 reminds us that He who began a good work in us will carry it to completion.
Maybe you’ve spent this season praying, waiting, questioning, and wondering how everything will work out.
But what if God is inviting you to stop carrying what was never yours to control?
Rest doesn’t mean you’ve stopped believing. Rest means you’ve learned WHO you’re believing.
You don’t have to wait for the storm to end to experience God’s peace.
The circumstances may still be unsettled, but your spirit doesn’t have to be.
Today, let your prayer simply be:
“Lord, I trust You enough to rest.” ❤️

It’s Easy to Say “God’s Got This!” Until You’re the One Living It. ❤️
It’s easy to tell someone else to trust God. To keep the faith. To believe everything will work out.
But it’s something entirely different when you’re the one standing in the middle of the storm.
When the bills keep coming, the prayers seem unanswered, and you’re doing everything you know to do, yet nothing seems to get easier.
Can I be real?
It’s one thing to preach about getting your feet wet. It’s another to stand in the river while the water is still rushing around you.
I’ve encouraged others to trust that God is already working upstream, even when they can’t see it.
And now I’m having to live those very words.
Some days my faith feels strong. Other days it’s simply a whispered prayer:
“Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.” — Mark 9:24
I’m learning that faith doesn’t mean I won’t feel overwhelmed, cry, or have questions.
Sometimes “God’s got this” isn’t a victorious shout from the mountaintop.
Sometimes it’s a trembling whisper from the valley.
“Lord, I don’t know how You’re going to work this out, but I’m still choosing to trust You.”
Maybe that’s where you are today, too.
I want you to know something.
I’m not speaking to you from the other side of the storm. I’m standing in the middle of it, too.
And if all we can do today is take one more step, then let’s take it together.
The waters may still be raging, but we’re still moving forward.

BE STILL DOESN’T MEAN DO NOTHING
Have you ever wondered how you’re supposed to be still when life won’t stop moving?
The bills still need to be paid. The phone calls still need to be made. The responsibilities don’t disappear. And tomorrow’s problems don’t politely wait until you’ve finished dealing with today’s.
Yet God says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
For a long time, we may think being still means doing nothing. Sitting quietly. Waiting for God to move while we stand frozen in place.
But what if being still isn’t about the absence of activity?
What if it’s about the absence of striving?
You can have a full calendar and a quiet spirit.
You can make the difficult phone call without carrying the fear of its outcome.
You can walk into an uncertain situation without rehearsing every possible disaster.
You can keep moving forward without trying to control how everything turns out.
Because being still doesn’t mean you’ve stopped trusting God enough to move.
It means you’ve stopped believing everything depends on you.
There’s a difference between responsibility and control.
God hasn’t asked us to abandon our responsibilities. He’s asking us to surrender the weight of outcomes that were never ours to carry.
Sometimes the greatest evidence of faith isn’t a dramatic breakthrough.
Sometimes it’s waking up with the same problems you had yesterday, but discovering they no longer have the same power over your peace.
The circumstances haven’t changed.
But something inside you has.
So make the phone call. Attend the appointment. Take the next step.
Just don’t pick up the worry you’ve already laid at His feet.
Be still in your spirit, even when life requires you to keep moving.

Godfidence at the Finish Line

I thought peace would come when everything was finally settled.

But something unexpected happened.

Peace came before the finish line.

Not because every question had been answered. Not because every obstacle had disappeared. But because somewhere along this journey, I stopped measuring God’s faithfulness by what I could see in front of me.

I started measuring it by all the places I’d already seen Him carry me.

When you’ve watched God be faithful mile after mile, you don’t have to panic just because the race isn’t quite over.

Keep running.

The finish line may be close.

But even better than knowing how the story ends is knowing Who has been with you through every page. ❤️

Well… Stiletto Momma came out of retirement today. 👠🌮😂
It’s been a while since I’ve catered, but today I dusted off the old skills and put together a taco bar for 25.
Homemade barbacoa, chipotle chicken, spanish rice, beans, all the toppings, homemade salsa, chips and churro bars—because apparently I don’t know how to do anything halfway. 😂
And somewhere between cooking, loading the car, setting up chafing dishes and arranging lime wedges like they were landscaping… I remembered something:
I still love creating something that brings people together around a table. ❤️
The best part? Before it was even over, someone asked if I would cater their party.
I laughed because I thought this was just a one-day return of Stiletto Momma. Apparently she may not be completely retired yet. 😂👠
Although after calculating what I made per hour today, we are going to need to have a serious conversation about her pricing. 🤣
Today was hard work—but it was also really fun to remember that some gifts don’t disappear just because you haven’t used them in a while.
Maybe some things aren’t over. Maybe they’re just waiting for a new season. ❤️

❤️ White Coat Day
Today I was supposed to be in Michigan watching Mandy receive her white coat. Life had other plans, and I wasn’t able to be there in person—but Mandy made sure I could still be part of her special day and sent me the link to watch the ceremony online.
And I loved every single minute of it. ❤️
I sat there taking pictures as she crossed the stage, smiling like the proudest mom from hundreds of miles away. 🥹
There are moments in life that make you stop and realize just how quickly the years have passed.
I remember the young international student who came into my life years ago. I watched her learn, grow, work incredibly hard, graduate, and step into one new chapter after another. And today I watched her put on a white coat on her journey to becoming a pharmacist/doctor. 😭❤️
Mandy, I hope you know how incredibly proud I am of you. Not simply because of what you’re accomplishing, but because of the woman you’ve become along the way. Your hard work, determination, compassion and courage have brought you to this moment.
Sometimes being part of someone’s life doesn’t mean you get to stand beside them for every milestone. Sometimes it means cheering wildly from a screen, taking way too many screenshots, and making sure they know that distance could never keep you from being there in all the ways that matter. ❤️
Today was one of those beautiful reminders to sit, breathe, and be grateful.
What a privilege it is to love people long enough to watch their dreams unfold.
