Effective 1/1/26, my title changes.

My CPA license will now be listed as Inactive.

Something that I have worked hard at since high school. But, it’s just a career title. It holds no eternal value.

In July of 2025, I made the difficult decision to leave a job I loved. A dream job. One that allowed me to have the flexibility to work from home while still watching my boys. Ultimately, I knew my boys needed more time and energy from me. They deserved that. So even though I decided to put a pause on my career, it feels like I got a promotion.

I get to spend every part of the day with the children God has blessed me with. I get to see their firsts, handle their big feelings, comfort them, teach them, and protect their childhood.

We get to enjoy slow moments together. Work out in the garden in the cool, summer mornings. Bake cookies in the afternoon and sit in front of the fire with a stack of books during a cold, winter day.

I know not every momma can do this. Not every momma would want to do this. But, I believe in traditional values and raising my children myself. I didn’t become a mother to send them off to daycare to be raised by someone else. I didn’t become a mother to spend most of my time away from them.

This is a conviction God had given me. I knew before our first child was born that I didn’t want to send them to daycare. I didn’t know how we would make it work (logistics, finances, etc.), but when God puts a desire on your heart, He won’t abandon you.

Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

My new title: SAHM (Stay-at-Home-Mom)

Being a SAHM isn’t the easy route. It requires sacrifice, patience, and choosing a lifestyle that puts family first. It is one of the hardest jobs, but is also the most important.

Mothers have a vital role in being the gatekeepers to the hearts and minds of their children. It is an exciting honor to fulfill this job God has blessed me with.

So, cheers to the New Year ahead. A year of new beginnings, abundant blessings, and not having to work a busy Tax Season for the first time in many years.

Sunday Church Creamy Cucumbers

Inspired by a local, annual Church Bazaar, I have recreated my favorite creamy cucumbers. Now I can enjoy these more than once a year 😉

Recipe:
4 Slicing Cucumbers, approx.
1 Tbsp chopped red onion
1 cup mayo
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 tsp dill w**d
Salt and pepper, to taste

Whisk mayo, sugar, and vinegar in a bowl until sugar is dissolved. Add salt, pepper, and dill w**d. Slice/chop onion really thin and add to the bowl. Peel and slice cucumbers 1/8” thick and add to the bowl. You can add more sliced cucumbers initially, as long as they all get properly covered in the sauce. Let sit for about 12 hours or overnight in the fridge. Enjoy!

Simple. Multi-purpose. Deliciously-soft Dough.

A recipe that can be transformed into many different end results. Perfected by someone who loves a good bread: ME.

Bread Dough:

3 3/4 cups water
2 1/4 Tbsp yeast
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup honey
1 Tbsp salt
All-purpose flour (about 9 - 9 1/2 cups)

Heat water to 105-110 degrees Fahrenheit. Add to mixer with yeast. Give a quick mix and then add the oil, honey, and salt. Turn mixer on and leave running while you add the flour. Add enough flour until dough no longer sticks to the sides and bottom of the mixing bowl. Continue to knead in the mixer for 5-10 minutes or until soft and the dough has a little stretch. Transfer dough into a large, oiled bowl. Roll the ball of dough around to make sure the oil coats the entire surface of the dough and the bowl. Cover and let sit until it doubles in size. Do not punch dough down after the first rise.

For bread loaves or buns (also hamburger or hot dog buns), shape and place buns on a greased baking sheet and place loaves in greased bread pans.

For cinnamon rolls, roll or stretch the dough to form a rectangle. Cover in softened butter. Sprinkle with a 4:1 ratio of sugar to cinnamon. Roll up and cut into rolls. Place into a greased baking dish.

For caramel rolls, follow instructions for cinnamon rolls, but before placing the rolls in a greased pan, make the following sauce (recipe is for enough rolls to fit in a 9x13 pan):

6 Tbsp butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp molasses
3 Tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla
Pecans (as little or as much as you’d like)

Melt the butter in a saucepan, then add sugar, molasses, and cream. Heat until sugar is dissolved and sauce is bubbly. Add the vanilla. Pour into greased 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle pecans over the sauce and add the rolls on top.

For all, let rise a second time. Bake at 350 degrees (20 minutes for buns/rolls, more for loaves). Dough is done when the internal temperature is 180 degrees.

For caramel rolls, invert onto a baking sheet.

New Product Alert!

Canned stewed rhubarb is now available on the farmstand.

Stewed rhubarb is great on pancakes, ice cream, or paired with yogurt and granola.

It also makes a quick, dump-and-go dessert! Dump the contents of the pint jar in a baking dish, top with an oat/streusel mixture and bake!

A fresh bouquet of lilacs on the first day of Fall. It doesn’t seem appropriate, but I’ll take the spring aroma in the kitchen one more time before winter.

Most lilac bushes are blooming in our area due to the stress of the heat this summer. It won’t harm the plant, but it may have less blooms in the spring as a result.

Turning dreams into reality.

As our business continues to grow, we are thankful for all of our customers - past, present, and future families we get to provide organic, nutrient-dense food for.

Now when you visit the farm, you will be greeted by our new sign!

It was a pretty cool moment having the sign installed today. It feels official now (even though we have been doing this for a while).

Thank you to Froggy's Signs for the awesome design and installation.
