Started the day with an awesome Osprey shot. 📸

Food was great, service was just as good, and the Oaxaca Old Fashioned definitely hit the mark.

The verdict: ⭐️ 4.5/5

Sunday Sunrise 🐦

Another early morning out with the camera, and another great mix of birds.

This morning’s lineup:
• Osprey
• Loggerhead Shrike
• Tricolored Heron
• Green Heron
• Wood Stork

The Shrike was definitely a nice surprise this morning. Never know what’s going to show up when you get out early.

Weekend Grill.

We started with a kielbasa sausage appetizer, followed by thick-cut pork chops grilled to perfection with bacon cucumber tomato salad, sweet corn on the cob, and warm rosemary focaccia bread.

Some mornings are about the sunrise. Others are about the surprises.

This weekend’s lineup didn’t disappoint:

Every trip out reminds me why I love getting out before the rest of the world wakes up. Already looking forward to next weekend’s sunrise.

Traveling Weekend Wrap-Up | Greenville, SC

Greenville was a great way to spend the weekend.

The weather didn’t cooperate for bird photography at Conestee Nature Preserve, but I still loved exploring it and will definitely be back on a sunnier morning.

A few highlights from the trip:
🍺 Wild Yarrow Brewery – my favorite brewery stop of the weekend.
☕ Methodical Coffee – excellent coffee and a cool atmosphere.
🍝 Passerelle Bistro – a great dinner and a perfect way to end our time downtown.

Not every trip is about checking boxes. Sometimes it’s about finding places you’ll want to visit again—and Greenville definitely made that list.
