Good morning! ☀️
This week has been busy as our kids started back to school and we’re trying to find a new routine. In the mix of all the chaos, our life is still beautiful and so are our cows. 🐮
Teddy genuinely believes I’m his mama, here’s your example! 😂
He’s taking 2 bottles a day now and eating hay, sweet feed and drinking water like a big boy. We are working on the halter, he’s stubborn- SHOCKER! But I have faith we will get him halter broken!

Sprinkles 😅
- very hard headed
- very doesn’t like to be on the halter and listen
- very has to learn the hard way (for her anyways)

Brian told me about this trick from when he used to raise show steers and at first I was like no way you’re hooking my babies to a vehicle and dragging them! Well, technically they don’t get drug because they chose to walk and it’s easier on our hands/muscles. 😂 We have tried halter breaking her for MONTHS so yesterday evening we tried this and she actually walked instead of pulling and having so all the work! Teddy might be next because BOYYYYYY 😅 he did NOT like the halter 😂
Milk Man is the only one who gets a 10/10 on the halter- hims the bestest boy! 🩵

If you have a stubborn calf you’re trying to halter train- try this trick!

Good evening! 🩷
We got it set up so my back porch isn’t their second home! Some treats for Milk Man and Sprinkles and a bottle for Teddy! Spent the evening trying to halter train Teddy, he isn’t enjoying it one bit. This is what gaining and establishing trust in livestock looks like.

They have made the back porch their second home and little do they know they will be evacuated this Friday as we will put a boundary up so they can’t utilize my back porch as a hang out. 😣☺️ They have tons of grass to graze and shade to lay in, but they chose my porch. lol! Silly cows, I love them so much, I just want my back porch to be clean again. 😂

Unsolicited advice from people that know nothing about farm animals in the comments has to be the most annoying thing about running a page like this. Sometimes I’m sweet, other times I ignore them and sometimes I’m sarcastic and passive aggressive. May the odds be ever in your favor. ☺️
I don’t know what happened to the sound on this video, but enjoy the babies getting their morning sweet feed fix, with Teddy in the mix and eating as well!

Top of the morning with the morning routine for the babies! Bottle for Teddy and then sweet feed for Sprinkles and Milk Man! They love me just as much as I love them! We have a really fun surprise for them coming up at the end of September! Hoping they love to show off 😉🤍

We share Teddy a lot because he’s in our backyard but let’s share a mom and baby out at the land. Willow and her beautiful baby S’mores! Willow is black and white but s’mores is more Hershey chocolate with cream. 🖤🤎🤍
For reference of those concerned with how we feed Teddy at the house and the position of the bottle, please reference this picture of Willow and S’mores. Note that Teddy and how we feed him is completely normal to how he would eat off his mom. 😋

Fun fact and for reference on about how big Teddy is- we have a standard golden doodle and he is smaller than her with his frame, he obviously weighs more because he is a cow.
