Good morning from the farm!

I know, probably a little bit of a surprise that I’m posting two days in a row! This morning is really just hit me and was too good not to share!
I realized today, as all four of these guys gathered together to go to their favorite pasture out back, that these are best days! All four of them are here together, waiting on me. How blessed I am to have this moment and I’ll remember it forever!

Everyone here is elderly or getting there even Charlie is 6 years old already.

I know my time left with them is short and I’m so grateful for this moment and the fact that they all get along! Even if I have to run Diego off from chicken food, and he spends the morning mad at me, it was still worth it in the end!
I hope you enjoy this little “farm morning moment!”
Have a blessed day! Also, a little special hello to Aunt Luana and Miss Fiona! ❤️🐐🐴🐕❤️👋🏻

Good morning from the farm!
It’s farm feed along time. This is from a week or so ago and has taken me forever to edit! It’s a quick excerpt from what I do every morning and all some of the chaos that comes along with it! Finally, you can have a chance to come along with me! Enjoy! 🤪

Today is the first day of the “Year of the Fire Horse!”
Apparently this happens only once every 60 years. I don’t usually follow the Chinese calendar, but this one is special to me…
My farm is partially named after our horse, Wildfire. He was named for this song I adored as a kid (by Michael Martin Murphey). He was quite wild and passed away much too young. I was devastated to lose him, so my husband, Tom, suggested I name the farm after him. I had always planned on naming the farm after my first horse, Sandy. He came up with the combination of “Sandfire” and of course here we are 18 years later…
I always loved the fiesty ones, so here’s to you, Wildfire, and Sandy! You were both feisty Arabians who taught me most of what I know about horses today! I will love and miss you both always! 🐎🔥🐴😘

Merry Christmas from Eeyore and our farm family!!
Eeyore makes this place, “The Fun-E-Farm!” The “E” for Eeyore and all of his antics. He brings joy, laughter, and naughtiness. He is quite adorable in his santa hat, so we can’t stay upset with him for long! 😍❤️🎄🎅🏻

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and happy holidays! We hope you are surrounded by laughter and love.

Remember my Dad’s favorite saying and one that I try to live by…
“Don’t take life so seriously, you’ll never get out of it alive!” 🤪😂🤣

May God bless you all and have a Happy New Year too!

Good snowy morning from the farm!! ❄️💙💙

We went to bed with the previous snow completely melted and this is what we woke up to. It felt like Christmas morning 🎄when I was a kid! Its my favorite kind of snow, packing snow that collects on each individual branch of any tree bush or plant that is standing. It feels like walking in a snow globe or through a Hallmark card! This is quite the unusual winter for our area already! Woohoo!! ☃️❄️🌨️
Of course, I’m not looking forward to the extreme cold coming up. It looks like there will be goats in our garage again this year! Ha ha! Oh well, I guess it’s part of running a “animal retirement home!” 🙄😂 🐐🥶

I hope you have a blessed weekend, stay safe and WARM!

If you haven’t donated anywhere for Giving Tuesday, please consider Harnessing Hope! ❤️🐴

Harnessing Hope on this Giving Tuesday 2025!
We know...you are going to be inundated with requests for donations on this Giving Tuesday, so we tried to make it a heartfilled choice to contribute to Harnessing Hope. We know the (impressive, if we do say so ourselves!) 2025 numbers talk, however, we feel they don't share the whole picture, as at the barn we believe even one life affected by our herd is to have succeeded.

A wise woman we honor once said, just tell your story and the right people (and horses!) will come join your herd. Between the participant stories, endless photos, television newscasts and newspaper articles- we've tried to convey the magic all year long that happens with our incredible herd at Harnessing Hope.

By thinking outside the box, (or the barn?) Harnessing Hope has hit the road in force this 2025 season with a Mobile Equine Assisted Learning program- reaching more participants than ever by meeting them where they are- physically and emotionally- to invoke lasting social and emotional transformations.

Won't you help us continue to deliver these stories of success and equine partnership.... one stride at a time? www.HarnessingHopeEquine.com to donate.

Fresh Farm Eggs are back!! $4/doz
Eggs are unwashed to keep the bloom on, but I will wash if requested.
Some of the chickens are free range, the favorites are in a run and sometimes pastured due to hawks.
The girls slowed down a bit with the freezing temperatures, but are laying again. We are not sure how long they will keep laying but we will continue to update the supply here.
***Please note, if temperatures are below freezing, they will be brought inside. I will leave a sign with my number. I’d be happy to bring them out to anybody during that time
You can find us at: 9628 North County Rd. 350 W., Lizton.

Happy Sunday!
It looks like a winter wonderland out here! Very unusual for November. We haven’t had a killing frost yet, just a light one!

I couldn’t resist sharing these photos — the first tree was glowing! There’s something magical about watching snow fall on colorful autumn leaves. 🍁❄️

I hope you all have a great week!

Edited to add…I am taking items off the stand around 9p and putting then back on after the temperatures get above freezing in the morning. Usually between 8 and 9 AM.
I want to thank everyone who offered me advice and opinions on pricing for the eucalyptus bundles and eggs!
Thank you also to those who are already purchased eggs today! ❤️
Here are a couple pictures of the eucalyptus bundles, I am asking $10 a bundle. They are already tied and ready to hang in your shower. :-)
Some people will use a rolling pin on them before putting them in the shower to help extract the oils. I have not personally tried that but wanted to share it in case someone was interested.
I will be offering lavender shower bundles as well, but I’m waiting for some of them to dry enough. I will let you guys know when they’re available if you’re interested.

You can find our farm stand at: 9628 North County Rd. 350 W., Lizton. Our sign is on 136 between Lizton and Jamestown.
