Today on the Farm, hidden treasures. The hens and ducks quit laying in the coop a few weeks ago. Probably because it was so dang hot in there! I just assumed they quit laying because of the heat, we have some old ladies or they were laying somewhere else.

Well, it was the later, Bill said come look in front of the mower. I tell you when Bill says come look I get a little scared you never know what he has uncovered.

So I cautiously, walked over. I said is it bunnies???? Nope, it was a huge nest of eggs! Now you know how long it’s been since I mowed 😂

Busy week ahead with outside orders and deliveries. Hopefully we will have new things to show you.

Remember Life at The District is cancelled this week but we hope to see everyone in Claremore Rogers County Farmers Market.

Today on the Farm, if you have been to our table at the farmers markets or seen pictures you know we have a 3D pig that was gifted to us by Tonya Hibbard Burns. Who makes unique and fun 3D printed items! We love that pig and so do all the kids!

Today I probably squealed when Kelly from Wings and a Prairie Family Farm brought us a PIGLET!

It was just like real life, just when you think you have them raised BOOM there are babies!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by today and visited all the vendors we can’t do what we love without you!!!!

I hope the rest of your weekend is fun as a thoughtful gift 🐷

Today on the Farm our neighbor sent me this and Bill and I were cracking up because, well it’s so true!!!

If you wanted to see something funny, you should have seen me catching those 11 piglets yesterday! Thank you Gary Midgley for giving them a good home!

The Farm is smelling GOOD this mornin’ smoked pulled pork coming off the smoker, bacon going on. If only this thing had a smell button!

Come see us tomorrow Rogers County Farmers Market in Claremore at the Court House from 8-12. Supplies are limited, come early!

Today on the Farm there is a princess that is under the weather so I am getting to stay at the castle in case she needs something.

Bill is making our pick up and delivery in Sand Springs today. ❤️

The renegade bacon bits are headed to a new home this evening. Yes they are cute! But after day’s of trying to keep them contained I can’t say I am sad about it.🐷

Today on the Farm a mood, we have been chasing piglets the last couple of days trying to keep the renegades contained.

Just when you think you have all the holes fixed, two appear! We will prevail! See picture our neighbor sent of them visiting her at work. She works out of a tiny house on property. This is after I told her we had them contained!!!!

Trying to feed the renegades that are contained while letting the escapes in I tripped and fell this morning back out of the gate. All is good except for my frustration and dusty dirty clothes. At least it was outside the gate and not in the pen with the wallow!

I was getting hay for the renegades and thought I’ll just leave this gate open it will just take a minute there were no sheep in site. I turn around and they were both out and eating the leaves off of my flowering bush, which has never flowered because when they get out that is the first thing they go after. I didn’t even try to get them back in. I was like WHATEVER!

I poked my head in the kitchen to tell Bill, hey I need to go take a quick shower before I come help roll meatballs.

Maybe I will go back to bed and pretend I just got up and start over like the movie Groundhog Day.

This kiddo took her $5 Kids Day Bucks, added $20 from Mom & Dad, and went SHOPPING! And we have to say… she knows how to work a farmers market.

Clearly, she had a strategy: sweets first. Thankfully, that spicy pork stick snuck a little protein into the haul!

And a HUGE thank you to Foutz Chiropractic for sponsoring Kids Day and making those $5 Kids Bucks possible! Because of their support, our youngest shoppers got to explore the market, pick out something special, and support our local vendors at the same time.

Today on the Farm a big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Rogers County Farmers Market stopped by, chatted, purchased, we love to see returning customers and meeting new ones!!! We are already prepping for next week and should have bacon and Brauts back on the menu.
