Fun fact Monday. The eggs in the stand are curated from the most nourished chickens in town!

Normally, the majority of a chicken's natural diet comes from free ranging on pastured greens. Chickens simply do not do as well just eating "chicken feed". Therefore we feed our hens a heated mash of fine ground hay mixed with regular chicken feed every morning! This keeps your egg yolks bright orange! But also provides all the folate, fiber, protein, Omega-3, vitamins and minerals the hens need during the winter when there is no natural pasture to forage. The ground hay keeps our hens super healthy, and helps protect them from getting H1N1 or salmonella.
